Biosciences field in India is still nascent and lacks credible information about
opportunities along with proper guidance for a large section of young aspiring
professionals. In 2006, this realization served as a fuel for conceptualizing our e-portal AbhayJere.com, now a knowledge arm of BioSciences Foundation of India (BSFIndia).

In a short span of four years, AbhayJere.com has now emerged as a unique knowledge hub for Biosciences with over 1.8 million visitors till date. Currently through AbhayJere.com, we have successfully aggregated and systematically organized valuable information in the form of Databases. Presently, AbhayJere.com hosts databases of Indian Biopharmaceuticals, National Research Institutions, ebooks, Experimental Protocols, Scientific Videos, Bioinformatic tools and more. For professionals keen on pursuing higher education or research, we have also put together a database of Indian and International Scholarships. Additionally, we support students in conceptualizing research projects, experimental design and even getting relevant literature to best of our efforts.

Being a scientist in Biosciences industry and through numerous interactions with professionals on AbhayJere.com, we realized that, development of competent human resource to face emerging challenges in Biosciences is need of the hour.

Today, unfortunately on one end, where many Biotech/Bioscience graduates worry about scarcity of employment and migrate to the other fields like IT, marketing, banking etc. at the other end, the biosciences industry complains about dearth of employable talent. Certainly, there exist a discord between the industry requirements, education offered and market realities.

If India aspires to become a world leader in the field of Biosciences, then development of quality human resource should get high priority. Realizing this crucial need and to bridge disconnect between industry expectations and available talent, AbhayJere.com is positively mentoring biosciences professionals by giving better visibility on opportunities, niche areas, emerging fields and scientific breakthroughs.
